Siding Repair
for Rockwall-Area Homes
Hail, wind, and a long Texas summer all work on the walls of your house. We find what is cracked, loose, or letting water in behind the panels, then repair or replace it with a written price. No pressure.

The Walls Take A Beating Too, They Just Hide It Better
After a storm, everyone looks up at the roof. Fewer people walk around the house and look at the walls, where hail cracks panels, wind peels them loose, and water finds the gaps. We have been working on homes around here since 1995, and the same storm that damages a roof often marks the siding on the side that faced it.
Siding is a rain screen, not a waterproof shell. It sheds most of the water, and the weather barrier behind it deals with what gets past. Once a panel cracks or a seam opens, water can run down behind it for months before anything shows inside.
So we start with a free inspection of every side of the house. We photograph cracks, holes, loose courses, and soft trim, check around windows and doors, and tell you whether a section repair will do or a wall needs re-siding.

Siding Damage Is Easy To Walk Past
A cracked panel on the back wall does not look urgent. The trouble is what happens behind it. Rain driven sideways in a North Texas storm gets into the gap, runs down the sheathing, and settles at the bottom plate or around a window, where it can rot wood without leaving a mark on the paint indoors.
- Hail cracks and holes. Vinyl gets brittle as it ages in the sun, so a hailstone that would bounce off new panels can punch straight through old ones. Fiber cement tends to chip at corners and edges instead.
- Wind-lifted courses. A gust catches a loose panel, unlocks it from the one below, and the next storm finishes the job. Missing pieces often turn up in the yard or along the neighbor’s fence.
- Water behind the panels. Gaps at J-channel, window trim, and inside corners let water past the siding. If the weather barrier behind it is torn or missing, that water reaches the wood.
- Sun fade and warping. West-facing walls take the worst of the afternoon heat. Panels fade unevenly, and siding nailed too tight can buckle when it expands.
- Soft trim and sills. Wood trim, fascia, and window sills soak up whatever the siding lets through. A screwdriver that sinks in tells us more than a look from the driveway.
From Cracked Panel To Sound Wall
Siding work is part detective job, part carpentry. Here is how it goes, from walking the walls with you to hauling the last scrap off the lawn.
Free Inspection
We walk every elevation, photograph the damage, and probe the trim and sills for soft wood hiding under paint.
Written Estimate
You see exactly which walls, how much siding, and what trim is included. The number holds unless we open a wall and find rot.
Matching & Ordering
We match profile and color as closely as the market allows, and tell you honestly if an exact match no longer exists.
Remove & Replace
Damaged panels come off, the weather barrier behind them gets checked and patched, rotted sheathing is replaced, and new siding goes on with proper clearances.
Cleanup & Final Walk
We pick up scraps and nails, walk each wall with you, and point out anything we noticed that is worth keeping an eye on.

Repair A Section, Or Re-Side The Wall?
Siding repairs can blend in well or stick out badly. The answer depends on the damage, the age of the panels, and whether matching pieces are still made.
Section repair makes sense when…
- Damage is limited to a few panels or one wall, often the side that faced the storm.
- Matching profile and color are still available, or the repair sits where nobody will notice it.
- The weather barrier behind the damaged pieces is intact and the sheathing is dry.
- The rest of the siding still locks together tightly and has not turned brittle.
Re-siding a wall is smarter when…
- Cracks and holes are spread across several elevations instead of one.
- The panels have faded so far that new pieces would look like patches.
- We find wet or rotted sheathing behind more than a small area.
- Your profile has been discontinued and nothing close to it can be found.
Still unsure what you are looking at? The free inspection settles it. If swapping a handful of panels will keep the water out and look right, that is the quote you will get, not a whole-house job.
Storm just hit the walls?
Loose or missing siding lets the next rain straight in. Call us, and we will check the walls and the roof above them in one visit.
Siding Damage And Your Claim
When a storm is big enough to damage a roof, it often marks the siding too, especially on the side that faced the wind. We help you navigate the process while staying in our lane: we are roofers, not adjusters and not attorneys, and the conversation stays on what the walls need.
- Every wall on record. We photograph each elevation, not just the obvious one, and record the date of loss early.
- Contractor of record. If you name us, we meet the adjuster at the house and walk the walls and the roof together.
- Matching, in writing. When the damaged profile cannot be matched, we document that and refer to code and the manufacturer’s instructions for how the repair has to be done.
- Plain expectations. A couple of scuffed panels may not be worth a claim. We will tell you if that is where you are.

Siding Types We See Around Here
Many homes in the area are brick on the lower walls with siding on gables, dormers, and upper floors. These are the materials we run into most, and how each one holds up.
Fiber Cement
Heavy, stable, and resistant to fire and rot. It holds paint well and stands up to hail better than most, though corners and edges can still chip.
Vinyl Siding
Light, low-maintenance, and easier to repair in sections. It gets brittle after years of sun, which is why older vinyl cracks in hail that newer panels survive.
Wood & Trim
Wood lap siding, fascia, and trim boards look great and need paint to stay sound. Where rot has set in, we replace the wood rather than caulk over it.
What We Commit To
Photos Of Every Wall
You see what we saw, including the walls you never walk past.
Honest Color Matching
If an exact match is no longer made, we tell you before the work, not after it.
A Price In Writing
Your estimate stands unless opening the wall shows rotted sheathing nobody could see.

Siding Repair FAQs
Can you match my existing siding, or will the repair stand out?
Often we can get close, especially with common vinyl and fiber cement profiles. Sun-faded walls are harder, because new panels start out brighter. We show you the match before we install it and tell you honestly when it will not blend.
How do I know if water has gotten behind my siding?
Look for bubbling paint on interior walls near windows, swollen baseboards, a musty smell in one room, or trim that feels soft. Outside, check for panels that bulge, gaps at window and door trim, and stains below the corners. Often there is no sign at all until we pull a panel and look at the sheathing, which is part of what the inspection covers.
Does hail damage siding even if the roof looks fine?
It can. Hail carried by wind hits walls at an angle the roof never sees. Older vinyl cracks easily, and the damage often sits on just one or two sides of the house.
Do you work with insurance on siding damage?
We help you navigate the process. We photograph the damage, note the date of loss, and if you make us your contractor of record, we meet the adjuster at the house. Our part is the scope: what the wall needs, supported by code and the manufacturer’s instructions. Questions about the policy belong with your insurer, since we are roofers, not adjusters or attorneys.
Do you replace rotted trim and sheathing?
Yes. If we pull siding and find soft sheathing or rotted trim, we show you photos and replace it before new panels go up. Covering rot just hides it for a while.
Which is better here, vinyl or fiber cement?
Fiber cement usually handles hail and heat better and takes paint well. Vinyl costs less to repair and never needs painting. Your house, budget, and HOA rules usually decide it.
Is the siding inspection free?
It is, and there is no obligation. We walk all four sides, look at trim, windows, and the roof edge, and give you photos and a plain answer about what needs doing.
How far do you travel?
About an hour from Rockwall, covering places like Heath, Rowlett, Garland, Sachse, Wylie, Royse City, Forney, and Sunnyvale.
