The options fall into two broad groups. Which one makes sense depends on how long you plan to stay in the house and how you would rather pay.
Short-term options

- The idea. Get the roof done now and pay it off over a short window, so the cost does not hold up the sale.

- The idea. Fixed monthly payments, so the roof fits into a normal household budget.
- Paying early. Extra payments or an early payoff are allowed, with no prepayment penalty.

Plans are available across a range of credit levels. Applications are looked at as a whole, including things like income and down payment.
